Who We Are

Jodie Marynowski founded JB Maryn in March of 2012 when I finally decided to create my dream job.  I had always wanted to be a personal shopper and gift giving was a favorite hobby.  I realized I could combine the two after an illness during the holidays had me wishing I could give someone my Christmas list and have them pick up everything and wrap it up for me.  About a year into starting the business I had picked up a couple crates to use for gift baskets for a few clients to fill with local products.  They looked too plain to me so I asked Art Bromberg (the love of my life and artist) to paint them for me.  We got such a good reaction from them that I asked him if he could build me a couple crates.  Those couple of crates turned into him working for JB Maryn full time.  After those first two crates I found, every crate since has been hand made by Art in our studio, usually from reclaimed Redwood that we have found.

About Our Crates

Our Redwood crates are made in our studio from a combination of native old growth and new growth Redwood.   We use heartwood, Curly, Sapwood, knots, as well as reclaimed lumber, so no two look alike.  They feature wood screws and glue for added strength, and a Bee Cream finish for a nice shine.  Custom painted Pine crates available upon request.
