If you have been following the blog for a little while you may remember back in October when a few friends of mine and I got together for a craft party. If not or if you’re a new reader you can check that out here . We enjoyed the last one so much we decided to keep the idea going. We even threw in a twist with crafting in the dark once the power went out on us. Although it was unexpected we all rather enjoyed the experience of getting crafty by candlelight. So much so that when the power did decide to turn back on we turned the lights back out. Since we spent most of our time in the dark I have to apologize for the lack of photos.
The craft idea I took to the party was a cupid arrow through a macaron. You can find detailed instructions here and where I got my inspiration. I ordered my macarons from Brio Bakery in Arcata. I eat gluten free and unfortunately unable to try these adorable little desserts. However I heard lots of praise for them during the night. I took a couple home to A and he absolutely loved them. If you haven’t tried them yet, go do so. These would make a lovely Valentines gift for anyone with a love of sweets.
